What are the requirements to join the StellarWP affiliate program?

When you apply to be an affiliate marketer for StellarWP, we are looking for motivated people who love our products, want to share them because they love them, and would like to earn a commission when doing so.

Additionally, we’d like for you to have your own website/websites where you would write about us and share your affiliate link; some prior communication with us is nice but not necessary.*

*We reserve the right to reject applications that are looking to operate a link farm, a coupon site, or if your website contains explicit content.

How does someone become an affiliate of one of the StellarWP brands?

To become an affiliate of one of the StellarWP brands is to become an affiliate of all of them! That doesn’t mean that you have to openly share affiliate links for every StellarWP product – but you’ll have access to links and resources for whichever and however many products you’d like to promote.

We’ve made it easy for you (and for us) to not have to manage an account for every brand. This way you can participate however works best for you, through one affiliate account.

What is the main benefit for a freelancer, agency, or other organization to be an affiliate of StellarWP?

In full transparency, the bottom line is money for both you and StellarWP. Every sale means we both win.

But it’s more than that.

An affiliate relationship is also an ipso facto endorsement of each other: You’ve been accepted into our affiliate network so you’re showing others that you think our products are worth others using.

It’s a two-way relationship.

What is the affiliate commission for sales at StellarWP?

The base commission for all StellarWP product affiliate sales is 25%. We do offer higher commissions depending on some circumstances, so be sure to work closely with our affiliate team to find out how.

Can someone be an affiliate of all StellarWP brands? Can they choose one brand or some of them? How does that work?

As we said above, to become an affiliate of one of the StellarWP brands is to become an affiliate of all of them! We want you to feel good using your platform to market the StellarWP products that you’ve used and that you want to share.

You can elect to market one or all of them … or any number of them that you wish.

The goal is for you to be comfortable with our products. We want you to be able to blog about them, answer questions from your audience, and feel supported in your endeavors.

So start with the products you know best and add more over time as you desire. Or, go all in and set up your marketing to include them all.

It’s up to you.

What are some best practices to make the most of the relationship?

There are many ways to increase your affiliate sales:

1. Create authoritative content.

When you blog, talk about how YOU use the product.

• Include your experiences or/and your clients’ experiences.
• Include quotes from the product’s blog.
• Link back to posts and knowledgebase articles that help others understand how the product works.

2. Use more than one outlet.

Use your blog. Use social media. Volunteer to do a demo for your WordPress meetup. There are many ways to share opportunities. Don’t just think of one.

And make sure you use your affiliate link whenever you share the products.

3. Know (or learn) the StellarWP products. Stay on top of changes/additions to the products.

You probably already know a lot about at least one or more of our products, but there are always ways to learn more:

• Join the Facebook group for each of the products.
• Read our posts and knowledgebase articles.
• Watch our webinars.
• Pay attention to our social media.

You’ll keep on top of all the developments this way and be able to speak with authority.

4. Provide solutions, don’t just sell things.

WordPress plugins are all about filling gaps and solving problems. Focus on those two principles and sales will (usually) follow.

How can you do that? Answer questions in Facebook groups and on social platforms like Twitter, Threads, Mastodon, LinkedIn, and more. 

And write blog posts that answer questions and provide solutions with your experiences at the heart of them. People will see what you say, but they will align with your experiences even more.

5. Use the Impact dashboard for all the things.

Impact is the platform we use to power our affiliate network. We use Impact to track your sales and process your payments. It is also your StellarWP Affiliate Program home base.

This is where you can see reports and earnings, and access links and banners. Your Impact dashboard will help you not only track your sales, but will also link you to banners and other graphics as well as provide you with individual affiliate links for each of the StellarWP products.

First and foremost, we are here to help. If you have questions, we will answer them. We can meet with you, answer your questions via email, and always direct you to the resources you want.
