Democratizing Publishing with StellarWP

As part of the WordPress ecosystem and community, StellarWP believes in the WordPress concept of “democratizing publishing,” that is, a web where anyone can publish whatever they want, for any reason at all.

This concept is part of what makes WordPress the robust and ubiquitous resource that it is. But where does that concept come from?

For many years, my definition of “Democratize Publishing” has been simply to help make the web a more open place. That foundation begins with the software itself, as defined by Matt Mullenweg on his blog and outlined by the Four Freedoms:

0. The freedom to run the program, for any purpose.

1. The freedom to study how the program works, and change it so it does your computing as you wish.

2. The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor.

3. The freedom to distribute copies of your modified versions, giving the community a chance to benefit from your changes.

At StellarWP, we work with a set of products (both free and premium) that help our customers accomplish their goals – to have a place on the web that brings them happiness, an outlet for sharing, and in many cases revenue and income.

And we do that in many ways.

Our Products

We’re excited about the work that our customers accomplish through using our products. Whether they’re a small business using Orderable to fulfill restaurant orders, a blogger using Kadence to create a beautiful site, a nonprofit organization raising money with GiveWP, or an agency helping their customers succeed, the plugins and themes at StellarWP help democratize the internet so that our customers can accomplish their goals on an open web.

Our Resources

Within each of our products is a team driven to helping our customers understand how to use our plugins to reach their highest potential success. We do this through webinars, product demos, and town halls where we connect with our customers, answer questions, and learn both how they’re using StellarWP products, as well as their wishes and desires for further development.

And earlier this year Kadence held a day-long summit called Amplify, encompassing speakers from all over the community talking about how to succeed with WordPress and the Kadence theme and blocks.

StellarWP is also a staunch supporter of WordCamps, newsletters, and podcasts through sponsorships. We recognize the importance of how our community helps one another in person and through various communications. We are happy to sponsor quality content that elevates the WordPress community worldwide.

And now StellarWP has its own podcast, WP Constellations, where we share about things that are happening in both the StellarVerse and the WordPress universe. Through conversations with community members and product owners, we share updates and conversation about things that matter.

Ultimately, making products that help others stake a claim on the internet – through business sites, blogs, fundraising, member sites, and more. And we make products that look good and work well.

Whatever you do on the web, we’re here for your success.
