iThemes is now SolidWP

SolidWP (formerly known as iThemes) has launched a new site, rebranding its core products and services. The rebrand builds on iTheme’s reputation as a leader in WordPress security, backups, site maintenance, and training.

iThemes is one of the oldest and most respected brands in WordPress, known for themes and site builders, website tools, design tools, and even eCommerce for a bit. The team has taken the core tenets of what has made iThemes a sturdy part of the WordPress ecosystem, worked at building the products and services to be even stronger, and rebranded to further strengthen and unify its offerings:

This shift in branding signifies StellarWP’s renewed focus on providing a solid foundation for every WordPress website. There is a stronger focus on security, backups, site maintenance, and training as SolidWP enhances and improves solutions for all users.

iThemes was founded in 2008 by Cory Miller, and since then has amassed a large audience. iThemes Security’s free plugin has nearly one million active installs. iThemes Training has been hosting weekly webinars and office hours with host Nathan Ingram for over 10 years. The iThemes blog has over 1100 articles to date, as well as dozens of eBooks and tutorials. The rebrand of the website and products was a massive effort for the entire team.

“We are really excited to present all that you knew as iThemes in a unified and direct way,” says Matt Cromwell about the process for this change, “so that there is no ambiguity about what we offer, how we provide service, and how we can help provide a solid foundation for your web projects.”

Motivation for rebranding continues the path iThemes began in 2008. Known today for security, backups, and site maintenance – none of which are well-represented in the name “iThemes,” as themes are no longer part of the offering. The name SolidWP is about establishing firm foundations. When you are building your WordPress website with SolidWP products, that is what you are getting: a sound, well-founded, reliable base backed by a great team.

Customers will find the new site easier to navigate, more direct in the company’s offerings, and chock full of the information and knowledge they have come to expect from iThemes and built upon as SolidWP. Nathan Ingram will continue to lead the educational component of SolidWP as Solid Academy, and the blog and newsletter will continue to be a great source of information and resource for all things security and more.

“It’s an exciting time for us as we build on the iThemes foundation and grow into the future of WordPress,” said Cromwell. “We continue to support all of our customers, and look forward to being a solid foundation for both our existing and new customers. The future is bright. And solid.”
