Getting Started with StellarPay

  • Is StellarPay really free?

    Yes, As an open-source project, StellarPay is free to install and use. Please note that while there are no additional costs associated with StellarPay itself, you may incur transaction fees from Stripe when processing payments. 

Privacy

  • Will credit card numbers be stored on my website?

    No. Credit card numbers will never be stored on your website when using StellarPay as your payment gateway. StellarPay ensures a secure transaction process by handling the processing of credit card information without storing any sensitive payment details on your site. This helps to maintain a high level of security for both you and your customers.

  • Will you have access to my customers’ data?

    Yes. Like all payment processing gateways, we will have access to your customers’ data to facilitate transactions. Rest assured that we adhere to strict privacy policies and terms & conditions that outline how this data is used, stored, and protected. Your customers’ data will be handled securely and in accordance with industry standards to ensure their privacy and confidentiality. We take privacy and security very seriously!

Transactions

  • Can I issue a refund directly from StellarPay?

    Yes. Because StellarPay is fully integrated with your Stripe account, you are able to manage various payment-related actions—including issuing refunds—from your WordPress dashboard in just 4 clicks. 

    Simply go to StellarPay -> Payments, and select the payment you’d like to refund. A modal window will pop up with all of the transaction details and a prominent button to “Send refund.” A confirmation prompt will appear. Review the details and confirm your refund.

Using Test Mode

  • What does “You are in test mode; however, this page still displays LIVE data” mean?

    Stripe has several types of account types and modes:

    1. Live account + Live mode: This is an account that was created using “Live” mode. Meaning, the person who signed up went through the main stripe.com website to sign up to create an account. They have also been approved by Stripe to accept live payments. 
    2. Live account + Test mode: This is an account that was created using “Live” mode, just like above, but is in Test mode.
