How to Manage DNS Records for Your Domain

Once you’ve purchased a domain through StellarSites, you can manage your DNS records directly within your account. This is essential for tasks such as:

  • Connecting your mail server (Zoho Mail, Google Workspace, Outlook)
  • Creating TXT verification records
  • Adding CNAME records for services
  • Managing additional email service records (DKIM, DMARC, SPF, etc.)

How to Access DNS Zone Records #

  1. Log in to your StellarSites account
  2. Navigate to Sites, then select your site
  3. Go to Domains > DNS Manager

Types of DNS Records You Can Manage #

A Records
Points a domain to an IP address. Primary domain A records are automatically configured for you.

CNAME Records
Used to point subdomains (like shop.yoursite.com) to other services.

MX Records
Required for email services (Zoho, Google Workspace, etc.).

TXT Records
Commonly used for domain verification (e.g., Google Search Console).

SRV and Other Records
Some advanced DNS records may not be supported in MVP. Features may expand over time.

Adding a New DNS Record #

  1. Click Add Record
  2. Select the type (A, CNAME, MX, etc.)
  3. Enter the host, value, priority (if needed), and TTL
  4. Save your changes

Editing or Deleting a DNS Record #

  1. Click the Edit icon to modify any value
  2. Click Delete to remove a record
  3. The system will update your DNS configuration

Note: Be careful when editing DNS records — incorrect values can disrupt your site or email services.

DNS Propagation Time #

Changes may take up to 24 hours to reach all DNS servers, although most changes will take effect sooner.
